Traffic Jam
When trust takes the wheel and the mind learns to wait I was in Delhi a few days ago. Every commute was a jam — long, noisy, uncertain. No one knew when they’d reach. But my friend, who was driving, was calm. No complaints. No frustration. He was tricky behind the wheel, finding space where there was none — but his face was peace itself. For him, the jam was normal. And I realized — for me too, everything was normal. Because I trusted the driver. I was on his disposal — no control, no anxiety, no hurry. The same jam that irritates millions felt peaceful. Why? Because when trust takes the wheel, tension takes the back seat. But this traffic jam isn’t always that easy. Sometimes, an ambulance gets stuck — a patient inside, life ticking second by second. And everyone wants to move, to make space, but they can’t. Each one stops thinking “me first,” yet still becomes helpless. That moment reveals the misery and truth of life — that sometimes, even with good intent, we’re caught in forces beyond us. That’s not just true in traffic. It’s true in leadership, in teams, in life. When you trust the driver — a person, a process, or even life itself — the jam doesn’t feel like a jam. Maybe the new chapter isn’t about escaping the traffic, but learning to be still inside it. Because movement isn’t always about wheels turning — sometimes, it’s about hearts understanding.Reflection In life and leadership, we all get stuck sometimes. What matters is not how fast we move, but how calmly we wait — and who we trust when the road stands still.
